Vancouver’s multiplatinum selling chart-toppers, Hedley are back with their fourth studio album, Storms. Produced by trusted collaborator and Juno Award winner Brian Howes, Storms explodes with trademark Hedley anthemic pop songs “One Life” and “Heaven’s Gonna Wait”. The first single, “Invincible” burst onto the digital singles chart in August and in the first week alone sold over 14 000 copies – Hedley’s strongest singles sales debut to date – and in less than five weeks, the song is already nearing digital gold-selling status. High Flying Birds was recorded between 2010 and 2011 in London and Los Angeles, produced by Gallagher and former Oasis producer Dave Sardy. Musicians featured on the record include former Oasis keyboardist Mike Rowe, The Lemon Trees drummer Jeremy Stacey and percussionist Lenny Castro, in addition to guest appearances from the Crouch End Festival Chorus and The Wired Strings. The name, High Flying Birds, drew inspiration from the Jefferson Airplane song while using it as a band name was an homage to Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac.

The title comes from the band calling the songs “their children”, because they can’t pick a favorite. The Lost Children features all of Disturbed’s b-side tracks that were recorded during a time period of 11 years with the exception of the song “Glass Shatters”. The only song on the album not previously available is “Mine”. A track titled “3″, which was originally released as a digital single on disturbed1.com for a campaign backing the West Memphis Three, was not originally intended to be released on the album but was included due to a surprise hearing for the West Memphis Three, resulting in their release from prison.
