ZEUS RETURNS WITH ‘ARE YOU GONNA’ WASTE MY TIME’ FIRST SINGLE FROM 2012 SOPHOMORE FULL LENGTH

OCTOBER 5, 2011 // TORONTO, ON – Toronto’s prolific rock gods have returned.

On the heels of a pair of stellar 7-inches intended to bridge the gap from 2010’s Polaris Music Prize nominated debut, Say Us, Zeus is back with “Are You Gonna’ Waste My Time?” the lead single from the band’s forthcoming sophomore album, due for release in early 2012.
“Are You Gonna’ Waste My Time?” delivers smart, heavyweight riffs that conjure some of the 1970’s best-loved artists.

“Remembering the days of champions,” Neil Quin – one in the band’s trio of songwriters – explains simply.

A primitive, live version of the song recorded at XM The Verge emerged online earlier this year and had fans and critics eagerly anticipating the studio version. The song has quickly become a fan favourite and the de facto tour-de-force at Zeus live shows.

Further, Zeus will spend the fall touring alongside Sam Roberts Band in the U.S. and Canada as well as playing a run of headline dates in Ontario.
