WIL’S FOURTH ALBUM “HEART OF MINE” SET FOR RELEASE ON OCTOBER 25th

(Vancouver, BC) – There’s no mistaking that Vancouver Island-based musician Wil has really come into his own with his latest diverse and introspective fourth album “Heart Of Mine.” The album is set for release in Canada on October 25th and to celebrate, Wil is embarking on a month long tour of Western Canada which will kick off in Vancouver on November 2nd.

Since the release of his first full-length album in 2002, Wil has and continues to cultivate a fiercely devoted fan base from his albums and their amazing translation on the road. With his fourth album “Heart Of Mine,” Wil decided to take a new journey, composing it solely by himself, in his own time. The album contains 9 tracks written entirely by Wil then recorded/produced in a small Victoria studio with the help of his drummer, producer/engineer, Jason Cook.

“This is the first album I wrote entirely myself. It was recorded with a sense of freedom from time restrictions or A&R. Jason and I simply grabbed what we could grab in a moment and went with it, trying not to overanalyze anything or overcook it. That’s what happens live so we really tried to retain that feeling when we could. “ said Wil.

Those who love and adore the eloquent singer/songwriter and his six-string guitar will certainly not be disappointed with “Heart Of Mine.” From the upbeat and inviting first track ‘Baby Talk’ to the self-portrait of Wil’s newfound awareness and acceptance in ‘In My Skin,’ the album seems to have an overall introspective vibe to it.

“’In My Skin’ is exactly where I’m at and I love it”, said Wil. “It may sound egotistical but its not. When you are good with yourself it’s far easier to give to others because there is always something there to offer.”

With a ton of tour dates already under his belt, Wil still genuinely enjoys life on the road and is excited to play the new “Heart Of Mine” songs live: “The 3 Fs are really what keeps us out there: fans, friends and family.”
