The NIXEUS FUSION HD simply has to be one of the best, or more probably, the best media players on the market. There are a few main reasons for this with the first, in our opinion, being the interface. Finally we have an interface that is really organized, easy to access, has an attractive design and provides font large enough that you won’t be squinting if you have to connect it to the small TV up at the cottage. Seriously it’s all about “the show” and this interface shows very well.

The second, is that it can handle all of the more modern social tasks that you normally spend too much time behind the computer doing and gets you back into the family room. Whether you need to update your Facebook page, send a tweet or watch a video on YouTube, you are good to go with the Nixeus. And bless them for including the WI-FI toggle in the box so you don’t have to make an extra purchase to make that portion of your experience complete.

Thirdly, these fantastic folks at Nixeus understand the relationship between your PC and your media player. Nobody really wants to spend to much time transferring files from their PC to the media player with an external hard drive or USB key so they gave you the option of being able to wirelessly stream content directly from your PC or install a Hard Drive into the unit itself thereby making it an all-in-one device perfect for traveling purposes.

Lastly, the online entertainment presets of YouTube, Fusion Channel, RSS, Flickr, Live 365, and SHOUTcast along with the ability to set more to your personal choice makes turning on your laptop more of a hassle than anything else.
