New York, NY – Following an eventful winter consisting of releasing their sophomore album Truth On Tape along with various performances at festivals like Nx35 and SXSW, the Dallas duo Smile Smile is continuing to spread their sound. With dates included in Atlanta, Nashville, New York, Toronto, and many more, join Ryan Hamilton and Jencey Hirunrusme as they sing the story of their not-so-perfect relationship. Though they aren’t shy in exposing their differences on stage, there is still an undeniable chemistry between the two talented musicians that audiences can’t resist.

Ranging from infectious melodies to heart wrenching ballads accompanied by Ryan’s self-taught guitar and Jencey’s classical piano background, Smile Smile has created a sound that is truly their own. Wanting to bring something new to the Dallas music scene, Ryan and Jencey worked together as a couple to create a unique blend of folk, pop, and rock. The duo gained instant recognition when they first appeared with their national success Blue Roses in 2006. Gaining international nominations for their music, including “Best Folk Rock Song” at the Los Angeles Independent Music Awards and “Best USA Act” at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, the two continued to grow together as musicians, while their romantic relationship unraveled. Fortunately for listeners, this break-up resulted in Truth On Tape, 11 tracks chronicling the powerful and heartbreaking end of a union. With Smile Smile’s signature blend of modern genres, the sound of their sophomore album evokes hauntingly beautiful and emotion-driven lyrics.
