After nearly a decade of focusing his efforts backstage, internationally renowned Canadian artist Dan Hill is back in the spotlight with his first album featuring new material since 1996. Intimate is a blend of familiar hits he has penned for other artists and never heard before compositions. Dan returned to the studio to record Intimate, following the powerful response he received to his bestselling book I Am My Father’s Son (a memoir of love and forgiveness). “One of the main reasons for recording a new album, at this point in my life, was to prove to myself that while I’m proud of my past work, I can still evolve as an artist,” said Dan. Intimate allowed Dan to sing songs he’s written over the last decade, including new and never released singles, such as “The Human Spark” (inspired by 9/11); and a stripped down, acoustic version of “Sometimes When We Touch”.
