LOGITECH BRING THE SEXY BACK!

We started a love affair with Logitech a couple years ago when they introduced the Logitech 50MM portable rechargeable iPod dock speaker. Beyond the fabulous sound, portability and freedom from the rechargeable battery, we were drawn like flies to a flame by the design, the travel case, the remote and the great price. Shortly thereafter they stopped manufacturing the unit and instead started manufacturing the Pure-Fi Anywhere 2, which delivers an almost identical experience in every way at a slightly reduced price. Sounds great and it is. The Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 is still the best overall package and the lowered price continues to keep it at the top of the list as far as being a recommend. The only thing that was lacking to us is the design. It doesn’t feel quite as sexy as it’s predecessor and didn’t quite generate the same level of “awe” out of the box.

So when the Rechargeable Speaker S315i was launched we immediately coveted the return of great design by Logitech. This truly sexy little unit sells for approx $100 which is a tremendous value. The strengths of this unit, beyond the design, are the great sound, respectable volume level (you won’t use if for a house party, but it keeps the crowd pumped down on the dock) and the extended battery life (up to 20 hours). The weakness for some will be the loss of the travel pouch and the remote. While we understand the loss of the remote to some, those who have had the foresight and already purchased a blue tooth transmitter/receiver know this is no big deal.

End of story: The design & the price make it a must own. The overall experience makes it a great deal!
